Mission statement:

Invisible Man Marketing & Promotion was created to promote industry and fan awareness of the now-cancelled series The Invisible Man, which aired on Sci Fi Channel from June 2000 through February, 2002.

Special Announcement:

After 2 years of steady work to promote The Invisible Man to genre magazines online and in print, at conventions, and to the PTB at NBC Universal and their subsidiaries, as well as to cable broadcasters, Invisible Man Marketing & Promotion is standing down.

Our efforts have been extensive, and it remains too early to tell if they have improved the visibility of The Invisible Man, however, as with all things, there is a finite limit to what a handful of people, no matter how dedicated, can pull off in the face of general apathy. We can honestly say we've tried, and that we've done our best. We hope that the rumored talks currently underway for a feature film pan out, and that our work in some small way helped make them possible.

We will conclude our promotional efforts with a Vincent Ventresca-centered mailing to casting directors and production companies to hopefully improve the actor's visibility by showcasing his fan-appeal, and therefore marketability as a leading man. We will also consider accepting the invitation from the organizers of Farpoint convention to man a fan table there in February of 2006 to wrap up our involvement in actively promoting I-Man.

The IMMPs will return to the more pleasurable and less stressful areas of fandom and leave the promotional efforts to those who care to take up the torch. Best wishes to you all, and our profound thanks to the talented cast and crew whose work on The Invisible Man inspired us to try and repay them for the hours of entertainment they gave us.

Sincerely,

the IMMPs

Update 7/20/05 : Shore Leave 27, July 8-10, 2005

The IMMPs are hosted a table at Shore Leave this year, and it was a rousing success. Krys and Alex had a grand old time chatting with fans and giving away prizes ranging from signed cast member pics to Season 2 sets on DVD. They (and the rest of the IMMPs, of course) were invited to the Farpoint convention next Feburary. All in all a very successful event for Invisible Man Marketing & Promotion and I-Man.
